Imagine nev er running out of I/O slots! Model EDGEPORT/2 is an intelligent, stackable expansion module that connects to a PC or
serv er v ia the Univ ersal Serial Bus (USB) port, prov iding two high-speed RS-485/422 serial ports. The RS-485 supports RTS control or
Send Data Control f or programs, which do not allow control of the handshake lines. By simply plugging in an EDGEPORT/2 and setting
the dip-switches y ou can add 2 high-speed serial ports to y our PC or serv er in seconds, using the setup wizard sof tware.
Eliminate dif f icult conf iguration issues associated with high-priced, older card solutions (no PC slots required). Av oid the hassle of
remov ing y our PC cov er, or powering down the operating sy stem during installation. Attach additional EDGEPORT/2 modules as needed
by snapping in our Model UH4100K powered USB hub.
The EDGEPORT/2 prov ides the scalability and f lexibility to quickly adapt to new technologies. Multiple EDGEPORT/2 modules can be
added to a single USB interf ace, allowing customers to add WAN connectiv ity as needed. Simply plug in the EDGEPORT/2, set it to RS-
485 or RS-422, install our wizard conf iguration sof tware, and y ou're done! The EDGEPORT/2 USB technology means never having to deal
with card slots, IRQ jumpers, DMA channels, or dev ice addresses when installing or connecting peripheral dev ices. The PC will recognize
the dev ice, automatically install the sof tware, and run diagnosticswithout rebooting y our PC or serv er.

Since the EDGEPORT/2 is a user installable solution, corporate remote access and point-of -sale users dramatically reduce f ield
