The Bookham Technology terra-Q 1 by 8 100GHz
Channel spacing Mux/Demux module is based on thin-
film interference filter technology. Three module design
options are available.
Standard Version
This version of the product uses a cascade of 100GHz filters to
provide the mux or demux function. The mux and demux are
built as complementary pairs giving the lowest overall loss
in a cascade.
Uniform Loss Version
This version of the product has the loss balanced between
channels to achieve lowest channel-to-channel loss variation.
Wide-Top Version
This version uses a wide-passband design 100GHz filter to
achieve a clear channel width of 40GHz. This allows more
modules to be cascaded without severe narrowing of the optical
channel width.
