The Titanium G16 16-channel ADSL chip set provides the highest density, lowest power,
and lowest system-cost central office (CO) solution. G16 provides substantial system cost
savings by eliminating external active and passive components including memory.
G16 is the only chipset supporting all standards including ITU G.992.1 (G.DMT), Annex A,
Annex B, Annex C and Annex H; ITU G.992.2 (G.Lite) Annex A, Annex C and ANSI T1.413 issue 2.
GlobespanVirata also fully supports ITU G.994.1 (G.handshake) for complete interoperability.
The G16 chip set provides industry-leading programmability with optimal rate/reach and CPE
interoperability performance. This ensures that G16 drives the quickest time to market with
maximum return on investment. The G16 chip set development also leverages the
8th generation chip set technology ensuring immediate success in field deployment.
The G16 chip set provides innovative functionality such as channel independence allowing
for concurrent support of multiple standards. Channel independence allows any channel to run
any DSL standard.
