GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The XRT81L17 is a fully integrated Seven Channel
line interface unit with clock recovery circuit for
T1(1.544Mbps) 100
,
applications.
Each channel consists of a receiver with equalizer for
reliable data and clock recovery, and a transmitter
which accepts either a single or dual-rail inputs for
signal transmission to the line using low impedance
line driver.
The XRT81L17 provides both Serial microprocessor
interface as well as Hardware mode for programming
and control. The B8ZS encoding and decoding
functions are included in the device that can be
disabled as demanded by the system.
The XRT81L17 provides a variety of loop-back and
diagnostic features. This device uses a low power
CMOS design and requires only a single 3.3V supply
and all digital inputs are 5V tolerant.
FEATURES
Fully integrated seven channel transceivers with
clock recovery units for T1 applications.
On-chip Receive Equalizer and Transmit Pulse
Shaper for DS1 Digital Cross Connect.
On-chip Clock Recovery Circuit
On-chip Encoder and Decoder that can either be
enabled or disabled.
Detects and Clears LOS (Loss of Signal)
Logic inputs accept either 3.3V or 5V levels.
Operates over Industrial Temperature range.
Supports Analog, Remote, Digital Loop-Back
Modes
Supports both Hardware and Serial Microprocessor
interface for programming
Low power dissipation
Single +3.3V Supply Operation
128 pin TQFP package
