The C9157 Light guide cleaner is designed for easy polishing
of quartz light guides whose transmittance has dropped due to
dirt or grime on the light exit end surface. The C9157 will effi-
ciently polish light guides even while on the production line and
requires just an AC power connection (100 V to 240 V). The
C9157 can be installed in a space about the size of your palm.
The end surface of light guides might become dirty from optical
curing adhesive attaching to it during work or from outgases
emitted from the adhesive during curing. This kind of dirt and
grime causes light intensity to drop creating problems such as
bonding defects and prolong curing time. Some dirt or contam-
inants can be removed by wiping away with alcohol but when
the surface is extremely soiled until now the only solution was
to pack up the light guide and send it back to our sales office or
representative to have its surface polished. It makes plenty of
time loose.
The C9157 Lightguide Cleaner not only solves all those prob-
lems but you will find it convenient and easy to use.
